Indo-Chinese AKA Hakka Cuisine

 

Hakka Noodles

Ingredients (2 Servings)

·         Noodles – 200 grams

·         Cabbage – 1 cup shredded

·         Carrot – 1/2 cup sliced

·         Capsicum – 1/2 cup sliced

·         Onion – 1 sliced

·         Spring Onion – 1/4 cup chopped

·         Green Chilli – 2 chopped

·         Garlic – 1 tbsp chopped

·         Soy Sauce – 2 tbsp

·         Vinegar – 1 tbsp

·         Black Pepper Powder – 1/2 tsp

·         Salt – as per taste

·         Oil – 2 tbsp

Cooking Instructions

·         Boil the noodles according to package instructions and drain well.

·         Heat oil in a wok and add the garlic and green chilli.

·         Add the onion, cabbage, carrot, and capsicum, then stir-fry on high heat.

·         Add the soy sauce, vinegar, black pepper powder, and salt.

·         Add the boiled noodles and mix well.

·         Toss on high heat for 2–3 minutes.

·         Garnish with spring onion and serve hot.


Schezwan Noodles

Ingredients (2 Servings)

·         Noodles – 200 grams

·         Cabbage – 1 cup shredded

·         Carrot – 1/2 cup sliced

·         Capsicum – 1/2 cup sliced

·         Onion – 1 sliced

·         Spring Onion – 1/4 cup chopped

·         Garlic – 1 tbsp chopped

·         Green Chilli – 2 chopped

·         Schezwan Sauce – 3 tbsp

·         Soy Sauce – 1 tbsp

·         Vinegar – 1 tbsp

·         Black Pepper Powder – 1/2 tsp

·         Salt – as per taste

·         Oil – 2 tbsp

Cooking Instructions

·         Boil noodles and keep aside.

·         Heat oil in a wok and sauté garlic and green chilli.

·         Add onion, cabbage, carrot, and capsicum, then stir-fry on high flame.

·         Add Schezwan sauce, soy sauce, vinegar, black pepper powder, and salt.

·         Mix properly and add the boiled noodles.

·         Toss well for 2 minutes on high flame.

·         Garnish with spring onion and serve hot.

Garlic Noodles

Ingredients (2 Servings)

·         Noodles – 200 grams

·         Garlic – 2 tbsp finely chopped

·         Cabbage – 1 cup shredded

·         Carrot – 1/2 cup sliced

·         Capsicum – 1/2 cup sliced

·         Spring Onion – 1/4 cup chopped

·         Green Chilli – 2 chopped

·         Soy Sauce – 2 tbsp

·         Vinegar – 1 tbsp

·         Black Pepper Powder – 1/2 tsp

·         Salt – as per taste

·         Oil – 2 tbsp

Cooking Instructions

·         Boil noodles and drain excess water.

·         Heat oil in a wok and sauté garlic until light golden.

·         Add green chilli, cabbage, carrot, and capsicum, then stir-fry on high flame.

·         Add soy sauce, vinegar, black pepper powder, and salt.

·         Add the noodles and mix properly.

·         Toss continuously for 2 minutes.

·         Garnish with spring onion and serve immediately.

Veg Chowmein

Ingredients (2 Servings)

·         Noodles – 200 grams

·         Cabbage – 1 cup shredded

·         Carrot – 1/2 cup sliced

·         Capsicum – 1/2 cup sliced

·         Onion – 1 sliced

·         Spring Onion – 1/4 cup chopped

·         Green Chilli – 2 chopped

·         Garlic – 1 tbsp chopped

·         Soy Sauce – 2 tbsp

·         Tomato Ketchup – 2 tbsp

·         Vinegar – 1 tbsp

·         Black Pepper Powder – 1/2 tsp

·         Salt – as per taste

·         Oil – 2 tbsp

Cooking Instructions

·         Boil noodles until soft and drain properly.

·         Heat oil in a wok and sauté garlic and green chilli.

·         Add onion, cabbage, carrot, and capsicum, then stir-fry for 2 minutes.

·         Add soy sauce, tomato ketchup, vinegar, black pepper powder, and salt.

·         Add the boiled noodles and mix well.

·         Toss on high flame for 2–3 minutes.

·         Garnish with spring onion and serve hot.
